Additional Notes: This Airmar/Garmin B175HW-20 20-degree thru-hull transducer was removed shortly after install for a different CHIRP band. The transducer has an internal hour-meter that shows 32 hours – this still has plenty of life left. When removed, the cable was cut short and there was pretty extensive surface marring to the bronze housing that has no effect on the function of the transducer but is apparent when looking at the transducer. We have cleaned up the housing and corrected the threads so the transducer is ready to reinstall seamlessly.
To create as much of a “plug and play” transducer as possible, we spliced a short 8-pin blue connector onto the short wire coming off the transducer, and included a 30′ extension cable for a total cable length of over 30′.
It comes as shown, complete with a hull nut & two set screws, a spacer, two rubber washers, and the extension cable.
This transducer is 1000w High-Wide Band CHIRP, 20 degree tilt – it can be installed on deadrises of 16-24 degrees. Anything above or below those numbers will result in reduced performance.
The transducer was tested on a TDT1000 transducer test set, the gold standard in transducer testing. All testing results are passing and included in the listing photos. Analog temp sensor also tested and working great (see multimeter photo)
