This transducer was a working removal from a boat being refit with new electronics. It is a diplexed R99-10F external mount transducer. Because it is diplexed, it will not work on commercial Furuno dual-line sounders, such as the FCV-292/295/1100/1150, DFF3, ETR30N, etc. It will only work on 10 pin units like the ones listed in compatible parts or the TZT3/TZTXL using the 10 pin to 12 pin adapter cable.
This transducer is capable of up to 2000w output, but the compatible Furuno displays output 1000w maximum for diplexed transducers. This is okay and a normal application of this transducer as the much greater element surface area and piezoceramic element count of the R99 will provide much better returns than any 1000w transducer on the market. That is precisely the use-case this transducer is made for.
We have tested the transducer with the TDT1000, which is the gold standard of transducer diagnosic equipment. As you can see, the transducer tests "in range" on both frequencies (photo of the TDT1000 test is in the item photos) . Additionally, the transducer's internal temp sensor is functional, as you can see with the multimeter.
The transducer includes everything needed to install, including the fairing block, hardware kit, and bronze stuffing tube - please note - we did not have a bronze nut for the stuffing tube, so we have a black plastic nut instead to hold it securely to the hull. Additionally, the fairing block has some plastic chips around the beveled edge (this happens all of the time to these in storage). The chips do not affect functionality, and once the transducer is properly bedded in sealant, the sealant will fill in the gaps. Additionally, the face of the transducer sits several inches lower than this edge so it will not create any issues with the hydrodynamics of the fairing/transducer assembly.
What's Included:
