Additional Notes: This transducer would make an excellent choice for a budget-conscious captain. It is the transducer, compelte with tank and cork liner.
The transducer tests good on our Airmar TDT1000 test set – the gold standard in transducer testing.
Disclosures: The tank has a small hole in it – we’re not sure why, it can easily be filled in. The transducer cable was cut short – we spliced more cable in for a total cable run of about 35′.
Please note: This is a dual line transducer – it won’t work on your Raymarine, Garmin, or Simrad unit, and might not work on smaller Furuno units. It works on DUAL LINE sounders only – Furuno DFF3, FCV-295, FCV-1150, etc. If using on a diplexed sounder, such as the Furuno 1871f, FCV-620, or any “10-pin” unit, you will need an MB-1000 or MB-1100 matching box.
