This is a custom-made JP21 replacement for the Simrad Autopilots, that we make here in-house at Max Marine Electronics. The original JP21 has been discontinued for some time and it is very difficult to obtain one. We have had many customers over the years inquire about JP21’s so we decided to do something about it. We believe that this is an improvement on the original design both aesthetically and functionally.
Made out of lightweight aluminum alloy, the Jack Point is easily mounted and waterproof. The screw-top lid protects the Robnet connector when it is not in use, and the D-ring on the lid ensures you never lose it!
We make the Strain relief portion of the cable in-house using a 3D printer and a superior polyurethane thermoplastic.
We do make this cable assembly in-house, so they are not perfect like one that would come off an assembly line, but they are functional, attractive, and a great replacement/substitute for a very difficult-to-find part also they have been fully tested to verify that there are no issues with them.
This cable has never been installed, it has the female Robnet connector on one end and a male Robnet connector on the other end.
