We put together a fully tested Simrad NAC-2 VRF autopilot system in great used condition, that is ALMOST complete. A pump and other hydraulic accessories will complete the install.

This computer is currently setup as a VRF or “Virtual Rudder Feedback” system. Rather than using a trouble-prone rudder reference sensor to assess rudder position, the autopilot uses a set of algorithms based on vessel characteristics recorded during the commissioning procedure and fine tuned during use to accurately estimate rudder position at any given time.

If you need a feedback you can use a Simrad RF25N (not included) and connect it to your existing backbone.

This is a nice system for someone who has an existing RPU80 pump (or similar) and is looking to upgrade.

The NAC-2 is designed to be used with boats up to 10 meters. The NAC-2 is able to handle the following drives: low-current drive pumps including the Simrad RPU80, mechanical drives such as the Simrad SD10, hydraulic linear drives such as the HLD350, and solenoid valves.

Included in this listing:

• AP44 Control Head – Good condition, comes with suncover, black trim piece, and .5 M drop cable
• NAC-2 Processor – Great condition with power cable, drive cable, and 6 M drop cable.
• Precision-9 Compass – comes with mounting bracket and 6 M drop cable
• Micro-C Backbone kit – x2 terminators, x4 “T” connectors, and power cable

PLEASE NOTE: Customer will have to purchase pump and other hydraulic accessories to complete the system. Or you can use your existing drive as long as it is compatible with the NAC-2. Please perform factory reset and calibration after the autopilot has been installed.
