We put together this Simrad AP2404VRF auotpilot system which would be the perfect system for a twin or triple outboard boat running dual steering rams.
This system has been fully tested and it is in great condition.
This systems comes complete with a N2K backbone consisting of 4 T-connectors, cable from T to AC42, cable from T to AP24, terminators, and a NMEA2000 power cable
What you will receive is a fully tested autopilot system for outboard boats that is complete and ready to install (customer will need to purchase hoses and fittings to plumb hydraulic pump into existing hydraulic steering system).
This is what is known as a VRF or “Virtual Rudder Feedback” system. Rather than using a trouble-prone rudder reference sensor to assess rudder position, the autopilot uses a set of algorithms based on vessel characteristics recorded during the commissioning procedure and fine tuned during use to accurately estimate rudder position at any given time.
