This unit was purchased from a marine electronics store selling excess inventory.
This unit was disassembled so that all parts could be inspected and cleaned.
The rear housing was sandblasted and repainted.
The motor was disassembled and the magnets were cleaned, the commutator was polished, and the brushes inspected.
The grommet for the motor leads was ripped. We used a rubber like adhesive to make it hold and prevent water intrusion.
This unit was reassembled then placed on our in house steering assist test set and made to manipulate a steering ram by passing hydraulic fluid through it.
Doing so we tested the motor and check valve.
No fittings or hardware are included.
Perfect for a replacement, or even adding it to a steering system without power assist.
