Additional Notes: This machine is mostly working but will require a preliminary service to get up and running. We ask that you read the entirety of the ad to understand the condition of the machine, its history, and why we are selling.
The machine was put into service in May 2016 and used by a boutique snack company (not us) to package shipments. In 2019, they switched to a new system and we purchased the machine from them. We used the machine daily from 2019 to 2021 to pack roughly 30-40 boxes a day. It was not used all day, just as needed. We loved the machine, loved the system, and thought we had found the perfect solution to our void fill needs.
In 2020, supply chain issues rocked Sealed Air and we could not get the materials we needed to run the machine at the volume we needed to use it – Sealed Air was rationing film and foam and we couldn’t get what we needed. We looked outside of the sealed air supply chain and found a couple outfits that manufactured compatible foams for the machine. We had several successful batches until we ordered 3 more 55 drum sets, which came from a different manufacturer than the first drums. While the machine has no issues using this foam, the foam does not set up the way the original stuff did. The reason for this, as we have ultimately discovered, is that the A to B mix ratio of this foam is about 15% different than the other foams we had used.
We have since put the machine in storage and switched to another void fill system.
This machine was fully functional when put into storage in 2022. It will require an initial service. This includes everything needed…EVERYTHING, motors, drums (on dollys so you can move them around), drum wedges, touchscreen controller, a partial roll of film, the solution that you need to keep topped off for the mixing block to clean after every bag a TON of parts – mixing block rebuild parts, new sealing surfaces, etc. If you want it, you may have whatever is left in the two drums.
We have a video of it working, the video was taken on 8/10/2023 – it has sat since then and will likely require an initial service.
Shipping will be at the buyer’s expense. If you’re interested, we can discuss further. We do have a broker at Tallgrass freight we’ve used for similar transports that can find an independent transporter with enclosed trailer to bring this to your destination and will be happy to share contact details for that if you need to have this transported. Usually these guys will have several concurrent deliveries so it isn’t as expensive as a dedicated driver. Additionally, we have a truck and cargo trailer and may be able to deliver locally in Florida for a small fee.
We need the space back that this is taking up, we are blowing it out at a steal of a price, just a couple small parts alone are worth well over what we’re selling for.
