Additional Notes: We are selling a replacement 9-pin 2-meter data cable for the Raymarine S1000 autopilot system. This 9-Pin cable is produced by Max Marine Electronics and is an excellent choice for those looking for this cable as the original is virtually impossible to find. Wiring colors are the same and we have included those assignments in the item photos to make installation easy. Our cable uses the same quality tinned stranded copper for marine use and has an outer braid to help reduce interference. As with any small-scale production, we are able to get close to the original, but we cannot match it exactly - the only differences between our cable and an OEM cable are:
- Our cable does not have a "boot" over the 9-pin end - since this computer should be installed in a dry location, we don't foresee this being a problem
- Our cable does not have a "y" to separate Seatalk/alarm and NMEA functions - wiring assignments are clear and by color, there is no need to separate these.
- Our cable does not have a 9-pin NMEA end - we're really not sure why Raymarine did this, however, most used cables we've encountered had this end cut off because most installers do not use a 9-pin connector to make NMEA0183 connections.
