Additional Notes: Raymarine sold this display with two different viewing angle options depending on how it would be installed on your vessel. This particular model is an INVERTED model. Inverted means the LCD is better viewed from the 6 o’clock position or from bottom to top. If your viewing angle will be square with the display, you won’t have any issues viewing the LCD. (Please call us if you have any questions regarding display orientation prior to purchasing.)
This display has been fitted with an E70126 (gS165 Non-Inverted) power board, because of a failing E70185 (gS165 Inverted) power board. This change does not impact the operation or quality of the gS165 — all functions run smoothly and just as designed.
We have tested to confirm the working functionality of all ports, including the three RayNet Network ports, SeaTalkNg, Video/Alarm port, MicroUSB port. (Card Reader NOT Included), etc.
The LCD is clear with a bright backlight and an accurate/responsive touchscreen.
We have updated the unit to the latest version of Lighthouse III v. 3.11.42. By doing so, this unit can be interfaced to an existing Lighthouse III network, or we can downgrade this unit to Lighthouse II software, if desired, at no additional charge.
