We have recently received a single factory remanufactured 12kw Magnum Radar Pedestal. This pedestal comes with a 1 year warranty from Raymarine. We are kitting this with a 4′ antenna that has been repainted with Awlgrip and had new graphics installed. A new 4′ antenna would add about $1000 to the cost of the pedestal, and since Raymarine has used the same antenna since around 1999, only changing the graphics, we decided to save our buyers some coin and have a used antenna painted with Awlgrip. It looks great and best of all, it will not yellow like other antennas will. Awlgrip has zero effect on antenna performance as it is epoxy-based with no dissolved metals.
These radar packages include the VCM100 voltage converter, installation hardware and instructions, and a new 10 meter radar cable with an RJ-45 style connector, usually connected to a Seatalk HS network switch. If you need a black round “Raynet” type connector, use part number A80247 to adapt the connector to the right one.
