Designated as an MME REFURB because it has gone through our rigorous testing procedure and had common failure points addressed. With our vast experience in used marine electronics, we can identify potential failures and we have developed fixes for these failure points to ensure that our customers are getting the best-used unit out there.
Within our extensive MME REFURB process, we have installed a new LCD screen as well as rebuilt the backlight circuit with components superior to those originally found in this display.
The unit was taken completely apart down to restore the chassis/lightbox to white, eliminating the yellow hue around the edges often found on these displays, then meticulously reassembled.
A multi-step compound-polishing process was applied to the acrylic lens because the anti-glare coating was compromised, removing blemishes and restoring the lens to be as transparent as possible. There are a few minor scratches, however, they are only visible when the unit is powered down and do not affect the view.
