Additional Notes: This transducer is used in great working condition. It was tested with the Airmar TDT1000, which is the gold standard in transducer test equipment. As you can see from the attached test results, both frequencies passed testing and is ready to install.
This transducer is in great used condition overall and comes complete with a new tank kit, new collar kit, new plugs and new cork liner.
The transducer was originally for Northstar/Navico/Simrad units but we received the unit with the cable cut about 28ft from the transducer. We have professionally spliced on a replacement cable from that point making the cable 40ft in length and converted the unit for use on the Raymarine products listed below.
The M260 is an excellent option for deepwater fishing performance. It is an in-hull transducer that is only recommended for solid fiberglass hulls (the majority of boats). Cored hulls (such as the foam-cored Boston Whaler or Everglades, or balsa cored Yellowfin) are not able to use an in-hull because the foam/wood core causes degradation of the transducer signal – some cored hulls do have a solid section specifically made for transducer mounting – you can mount this transducer in one of those locations.
