Additional Notes: The Garmin VHF 200 microphone and microphone cable are common points of failure on the VHF 200 and 200i – so much so that we manufacture, in house, a replacement cable assembly which we’ve sold over 350 of since 2023 with not one cord failure. We realize, however, that not all end users wish to disassemble their microphones to replace the cord, and OEM Garmin fist mics for the VHF200 are a rare find.
As a result, we have created a replacement plug and play assembly, which we make in-house. The replacement is fully functional with the VHF 200, including channel up/down buttons and of course, PTT, speaker, and microphone. This offers boat owners more options to extend life to their Garmin VHFs.
These are fully compatible and have been thoroughly tested on a VHF test set with our VHF 200 to meet and exceed our standard of quality.
