Description

This is a new old stock SS264W – 50 kHz – 12-degree tilt transducer. This is a low profile single frequency 50khz tilted element thru-hull with 12 degrees of tilt. Only for boats with 8-16 degrees of deadrise in the mounting location.

This is a mix-and-match transducer that we have kitted with a Lowrance/Simrad/ 7-pin “BL” or “Blue” connector. This will plug and play with any compatible Navico (Lowrance, Simrad, B&G) 7-pin blue sounder unit including the 7608xsv, 7610xsv, 7612xsv, 7616xsv, GSD24, GSD25, and several other units that are capable of “traditional” 50/200 kHz operation including those listed in the title. If you have a question on compatibility, please ask.

We do have these identical transducers kitted with Raymarine, Furuno, and Garmin connectors listed separately. The total cable length is around 30 feet. Install kit is included and a transducer is new old stock in original boxes with original mounting accessories and instructions.

We do not have nor do we have the ability to get any other SS264 transducers in other tilt angles or in the high-frequency configuration as the SS264 is discontinued.

This will perform similarly to the low-frequency element in a B260 with the only difference being that the low-frequency is a 25-degree cone instead of a 19 degree. The SS264 could be used as a single frequency or a pair, we are selling it as a single low 50 kHz frequency. The 50 kHz side came only in a 25-degree cone and the 200 kHz side came as either a wide or narrow cone. In other words, there is not a “wide” or a “narrow” version of the 50 kHz SS264, they all had a 25-degree cone angle.

This is a unique transducer in Airmar’s lineup. The SS264 50 kHz provides the same basic performance as the low-frequency element in the B260/SS260 but without the need for a fairing block or added cost of pocket mounting. This is a very economical way to gain the capability to deep drop without breaking the bank.

Because these are single frequency, the only way to make them dual frequency is to add an SS264 200 kHz transducer, but because the SS264 has been discontinued, they are hard to come by. Another option is to wire this and your existing transducer to a transducer switch box (SB260 which is listed separately) so you can use the SS264 for deeper work and switch to your other transducer when a high-frequency operation is desired.

This SS264 50 kHz transducer originally sold for over $800. Because this is new old stock, it carries the Max Marine Electronics 90-day warranty but does not qualify for any manufacturer’s warranty.

Please be sure you understand what you are purchasing prior to purchasing and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Returns will not be permitted on transducers that have been previously installed unless it is a warranty concern.
