Additional Notes: This model boasts a host of features including an integrated AIS receiver and both NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 connectivity. This unit was fully tested and all functions performed well. The Tx/Rx functions were tested with a communications systems monitor and this unit was found to have great transmit power and receiver sensitivity. The AIS receiver and both NMEA connections functioned as they should.
This particular version does not have a microphone connection on the front panel, instead, the mic connects to a pigtail in the rear.
For this installation, you may be interested in the OPC 1541 handset extension cable, which at the time of writing we have in stock.
This unit contains an AIS receiver only, and will not transmit your own AIS data.
This unit and handset are in good cosmetic condition, and the mic cable shows no signs of degradation.
The MMSI has been cleared so this unit is ready for its new home!
