This is a Garmin GPSmap 478 Auto/Marine Chart Plotter has been thoroughly tested and is fully functional. We’ve verified that both the chart card reader and internal GPS work seamlessly in both auto and marine modes. The unit originally came with a battery pack, but during our testing, we discovered that the battery no longer holds a charge and cannot be recharged. As a result, the unit operates perfectly when connected to external power.
