We get an SSB in periodically and it ends up on a shelf. After spending years fruitlessly searching for someone to perform our SSB radio testing, Max Marine Electronics has given up. This is a good thing though, because we can do something we haven’t done in a long time…a no reserve $.99 auction. We will be auctioning all of our current SSB inventory this auction cycle. (cycles start Thursday and run 10 days through the following Sunday evening).
Parts and pieces (mainly cables, connectors, mics, etc) may and probably will be missing from some of the lots. The lots have all been tested for power on and button/knobs functionality where possible and as mentioned, but no further testing has been done. Under no circumstances may any lots be returned – these are as-is, as described, no returns auctions. Our word is all we have – we have described, to the best of our ability, what you are bidding on, including the good and the bad. So have fun, good luck, and thanks for bidding!
This Furuno Skanti appears to be in good shape internally, but untested. No signs of water intrusion, no funny smells, no visible burn marks. However, this is old untested equipment and should be considered as such when bidding.
Includes the following:
-8750S Transceiver – 2 of the 4 case latches are broken, the 2 remaining hold the unit closed adequately.
-8750 Tuner – Good Shape
-8000 Control Unit – The front and rear case don’t hold together snug because the threaded inserts that the two screws go into are missing – anyone buying this set will be handy enough to devise a workaround – that I am sure of!
We do not have any cables for the unit. We may ship this UPS or freight and our shipping price is ONLY good for the lower 48, all others will need to message us with their address for a quote.
