This Furuno 1954CBB Navnet VX2 radar system is in great used condition. This is one of the best 12KW radar systems available to find birds. It is a 12kw, 72-mile, 6-foot open array radar system that we have paired up with a 17″ AmbientNav monitor.
This is a C-Map NT unit intended to work with C-Map NT chart cards. WILL NOT WORK FOR Navionics chart cards. No chart card are included but we have some listed on our site. Must be a 2GB or less SD card.
We have upgraded this Black Box to the latest software version for optimal performance. The radar picks up targets very well, both near and far. The photos for this listing show that the system is fully functional: it picks up targets well and was fully bench-tested.
Please Note: This system shows signs of wear and previous use, including minor scuffs and cosmetic blemishes. However, the system functions well and is in good used condition. There are various spots we touched-up on the gearbox with white appliance paint.
The inside of the array looks great. All sealing grommets for the open array antenna are included.
The VX2 black box shares the same user interface as the normal 10.4″ VX2 units but allows for a larger screen to be used, has a composite video in port for the camera, etc.
The system is expandable – add an ETR-6/10 sounder module and transducer for sounder functionality, a GPS Antenna + chart card for chart plotter functionality, or a heading sensor for radar overlay. Add a chart for detailed cartography, we have some used cards listed separately.
No Chart Card, Heading Sensor, GPS Antenna, or Sounder module is included.
What’s Included:
- RPU-015 – C-MAP NT+, updated, good used condition.
- RSB0072-060 – OK used condition. We touched up mulitple spots with white appliance paint. Please see photos.
- 6 Foot Array – was painted by the previous owner. The window is Navy blue in color, the rest is “egg shell,”
- PSU-005 – comes with power and cable to interface with the BB.
- AmbientNav Monitor – 17″ monitor. Comes with both VGA and DVI cables. Also comes with a power cable. This is a 12 VDC monitor. There is a scratch on the glass, located on the lower right side. Easier to see once the monitor is powered off.
- RCU-017 – good used condition, comes with keypad cable and flush mount kit.
- Interconnect Cable – 54 feet in length.
