This radar system was fully tested and picked up targets well. It was removed from a boat that was completely refit with new electronics.

This system includes:

• FR-7252/RDP-123 Display – 24-32Vdc, comes with power cable.
• RSB-0072-061 – Good condition.  Antenna size is 6ft and radar interconnect cable is 22ft

This is the same open array antenna used with the Navnet VX2 1964c systems.

This is known as Furuno’s “Superbird” radar and is an excellent choice for captains looking to find pods of birds holding tuna as well as standard collision avoidance and weather detection functions of radar.

Overall, the system is in good condition. All buttons and knobs work.

There is little paint flake on the pedestal and the 6′ scanner top is in good condition w/ some wear spots.

If you’re a thrifty captain that has the space for this radar display and want to use the radar to find birds – this is a great way to get into a system for a fraction of what a new one would cost. This was at the top of Furuno’s recreational/light commercial analog radar lineup and was still in current production until very recently. With a sticker price of $8320, which does not include the 4 or 6 foot scanner, someone is sure to get a lot of radar for their dollar!
