We updated this radar to the latest software version 1.18, which allows this radar to work with the TZ models.
The radar has been fully tested on our bench and is in excellent working condition.
All DRS radars operate on 48 VDC, so we are including x2 NEW Victron 12 to 24 VDC power supplies to increase the output voltage to 48 VDC. These can be used in place of the PSU-012 as those are harder to come by and carry a higher price tag than the Victron units. These two power supplies must be connected in a series (wiring diagram included). Instead of the ethernet wire connecting directly to the PSU-012, you can directly connect this DRS to any NavNet3D or TZtouch. A HUB-101 or similar switch can be used if a direct connection is not an option. We only supply the jumper wire between the two Victron units to increase the total output voltage. Other wiring will need to be supplied by the customer.
PLEASE NOTE: This radar can unlock the ARPA function with the use of your MFD (MFD8/12/BB, TZT, TZT2, TZT3), you just need to connect a GPS antenna and a heading sensor to your existing NMEA2000 network. Please take a look at the MFD manual for more information on how to properly use ARPA.

- Instead of being a “siamese” cable with no protection, ours is two individual wires in a durable cable wrap
- Our cable uses red (+) and yellow (-), instead of white (+) and black (-)
- Our cable uses one size heavier gauge power wire – we feel it is better to be oversized than undersized on power.
- Our cable uses an electronically shielded data wire, and an unshielded power wire, whereas the Furuno cable uses a shielded power and shielded data wire.
