This Transducer is a PM411LWM. This transducer was removed from a vessel during a refit. The transducer was literally encapsulated in 5200 – during removal, the outermost part of the cast-epoxy housing was scratched up. We were able to remove most of the 5200 so that the transducer is ready for a new installation. When you bed the transducer with 3m high-performance filler, the filler will take the place of any of these abnormalities. We did not touch the transducer’s face. Any surface irregularities and the small chunk missing on the top edge of the transducer have zero effect on the transducer’s functionality.
We tested the transducer with the AIRMAR TDT-1000, the gold standard in transducer testing – both frequencies are well within range, water temp is working (as per the multimeter showing the thermistor circuit – 10k ohm thermistor). We did note the transducer did experience an overheat as per the max temp recorded – typically when an overheat kills a transducer, it does so right then and there. Overheats generally occur when the transducer is left to transmit when out of the water – be sure to turn your bottom machine off when the boat is being hauled for any reason.
There are about 6 feet of cable attached. Due to the cosmetic condition of the transducer and the overheating in history, we are selling this transducer at a tremendous discount. For the right person with the right risk tolerance, this is a great find. We will warranty the transducer for 90 days from the date of receipt.
Thanks for looking.
