We recently evaluated all of our transducers with the Airmar TDT1000, which is the gold standard in transducer test equipment.
This transducer did not come with the hull nut so we are selling as a core – this would be perfect to replace a bad B175M-20, you can re-use your old hardware. The nut is available, we can supply a nut and install kit for $160.
The cable on this is cut short – there is 15″ of cable attached. You will need to splice into your old transducer cable.
You can use your existing transducer cable to extend this one, or if you are replacing a bad B175M-20, you can splice this into your old cable. Once you have a sufficient length of cable ran from this transducer, you can hook it up to the following units in the following ways – please note, if you are using a wire block adapter (garmin) or adapter box (Raymarine or Simrad), you can just wire the short 15″ cable into the box at the transducer and order the appropriate transducer extension cable instead of extending the cable and then adding the box:
For Garmin – Works with the GSD26 – just wire to the terminals or to connect to compatible XSV units or GSD25, use the 12 pin yellow or 8 pin blue wire block adapter (depending on which unit you’re hooking up to)
For Raymarine – Use Airmar’s 33-969-01 adapter box for Raymarine 11 pin CHIRP units/modules.
For Furuno – Works with the DFF1-UHD – just wire to the terminals – also works on the TZT3 (will require a special cable for TZT3, please ask)
For Simrad – Works with BSM2&3 – wire directly to the terminals, you may need to remove the 7 pin plugs on the BSM-3 if equip to wire directly. For the S5100, NSS evo3 and 3s, use the Simrad 000-13262-001 adapter box.
This is for installation on deadrises of 16 to 24 degrees only because it is what is known as a “tilted element” transducer.
