We are offering for sale the legendary Northstar 952XD, a chartplotter that is still widely regarded as one of the best GPS/Chartplotters ever produced. Even today, many boaters consider it the go-to unit thanks to its exceptional ease of use, rock-solid performance, and reliability.

Important Notice – GPS Rollover Issue:
In 2019, a GPS “rollover” event affected many Northstar 952X units. As a result, this unit is unable to correctly display Tide Charts. This particular unit is affected by that issue.
That said, no other functionality is impacted. The unit still performs exactly as expected in all other areas, including:

Saving and managing waypoints
Displaying chart data
Acquiring and maintaining a GPS fix
Normal navigation functions

Many users simply supplement tide information with one of the many free mobile phone apps available today. Pricing for affected units has been adjusted accordingly to reflect the loss of tide display.

This is a WAAS-enabled unit and uses the AN150 or AN156 antenna for GPS/D operation.

The unit is in good overall condition and has been fully tested. All functions have been verified, including:
Buttons and controls
GPS functionality
NMEA 0183 ports (1 and 2)
Chart reader

There may be minor cosmetic surface blemishes consistent with normal use, but nothing that affects performance or reliability.

The unit has been updated to the latest software version (v4.20) and is ready for installation and use.
