Additional Notes: This transducer was used by a local installer who retired as a test transducer to diagnose issues on boats he worked on. it appears as if the transducer cable was spliced close to the transducer itself, heat shrunk and then run into a terminal strip. The total cable length is 30′, with the majority of the cable being between the transducer and terminal strip. We cleaned the transducer as best we could and tested it on a TDT1000, the test report is in the item photos. It tests perfectly.

Cosmetics are acceptable – there are a few little edge nicks from removal and storage but once it’s installed and bedded, none of these are of any consequence. We did sand down the face so it is ready for bottom paint if needed – we strongly recommend using “Foul-Free”

While the transducer is not perfect, it is functionally perfect and the splices do not degrade the sonar’s performance. The transducer is offered at a price consistant with condition. It comes ready to install, with an install kit, hull nut, etc. For a budget-minded boater looking for 1kw performance at a 600w price, this would be a great option. A new equivalent transducer is $1299.

Please note: This is the 20 degree version of the B164, it can be installed on deadrises of 16-24 degrees. Anything above or below those numbers will result in reduced performance.
