This transducer would make an excellent choice for a budget-conscious captain looking to replace like-for-like. It is the transducer core only, does not include the tank or any accessories.

The good: The transducer tests OK on our Airmar TDT1000 test set - the gold standard in transducer testing.

The not-so-good: This unit does have damage resulting from the allen key being stored in the plastic top, becoming wet, rusting, and spalling. The resulting cracks in the plastic top don't affect functionality. We sand blasted as much of the rust away as we could, but the key is still embedded in the plastic. We would recommend sealing the cracks and key with epoxy prior to install, so that any subsequent moisture that enters that area doesn't touch the key - as long as no more moisture is allowed to enter that area, the spalling should not continue.

Please note: This is a dual line transducer - it won't work on your Raymarine, Garmin, or Simrad unit, and might not work on smaller Furuno units. It works on DUAL LINE sounders only - Furuno DFF3, FCV-295, FCV-1150, etc. If using on a diplexed sounder, such as the Furuno 1871f, FCV-620, or any "10-pin" unit, you will need an MB-1000 or MB-1100 matching box.
