Additional Notes: This Furuno RDP-149 NavNet VX2 has been fully tested in-house and found to be 100% operational. Our testing is done using several peripherals (GPS antenna, radar, sounder, etc) which are not included in this listing. The pictures taken are of the actual unit, they are not stock photos.
***This is a C-MAP unit, intended to work with C-MAP chart cards. WILL NOT WORK FOR NAVIONICS, but can be converted after purchase.***
The unit was originally flush mounted so a bracket will NOT be included in this sale, however separate brackets are available for purchase from this seller. PLEASE NOTE: two mounting studs were unable to be removed and were cut flush with the back case, and minor oxidation is present around the mounting studs.
This unit would make an excellent replacement for a downed display.
Max Marine Electronics has sold hundreds of NavNet displays and systems. Our experience has given us the ability to evaluate and rebuild these displays in such a way as to prevent both common and rare failures these units experience. The most common failures of the NavNet series are LCD screen failure, backlight failure, trackball failure, and separation of the glass from the front bezel.
With all of our NavNets, regardless of whether they’re rebuilt or not, we inspect bezels for warping, inspect and re-grease case seals, service trackballs, and perform other basic procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and longevity of our units in the field. This unit has had the backlight PCB replaced with a reconditioned board, the LCD has been rebuilt, and we’ve also updated the software to the latest version for optimal performance.
