Additional Notes: Airmar M265-LM In-Hull, Low and Medium Band CHIRP, 1000w We recently evaluated all of our used transducers with the Airmar TDT1000, which is the gold standard in transducer test equipment. This transducer is in good working order. We have kitted it with a tank that is cut at an 18 degree angle. There is enough room to cut it up to about 22 degrees, and of course it can be cut down to 0 degrees. The fitment of the M265 into the tank is a little tight due to the heat sinks on either side of the M260 - the black transducer body can be removed, but you may have to finesse it a bit to slide it out - we only bring this up so that you or your installer doesn't panic and think there's a problem. This particular transducer was removed in working order from a vessel being refit with electronics – the owner was installing a larger 3kw transducer. It was originally installed on a Raymarine system but the connector was cutoff so it is now effectively a “loose wire” transducer suitable for every OEM. As far as wiring goes: For Garmin – Works with the GSD26 – just wire to the terminals or to connect to compatible XSV units or GSD25, use the 12 ping yellow pin wire block adapter. For Raymarine – Use Airmar’s 33-969-01 adapter box For Furuno – Works with the DFF1-UHD – just wire to the terminals – also works on the TZT3 (will require a special cable for TZT3, please ask) For Simrad – Works with BSM2&3 – wire directly to the terminals, you may need to remove the 7 pin plugs on the BSM-3 if equip to wire directly. For the S5100, use the Simrad 000-13262-001 adapter box. Total cable length is around 26 feet. Free shipping in the Contiguous United States.
