We recently evaluated this transducer with the Airmar TDT1000, which is the gold standard in transducer test equipment.

This transducer passed testing on both frequencies and is ready to install.

This transducer is in working condition and comes complete with install flange and o-ring, as well as the removable nut to secure the connector to the module/display.

The P79 is an in-hull transducer that is only recommended for solid fiberglass hulls (the majority of boats). Cored hulls (such as the foam-cored Boston Whaler or Everglades, or balsa cored Yellowfin) are not able to use an in-hull because the foam/wood core causes degradation of the transducer signal – some cored hulls do have a solid section specifically made for transducer mounting – you can mount this transducer in one of those locations.
