We recently acquired the inventory of a large marine parts distributor that went out of business. We have listed this as a used unit because we are unsure of its condition. It does not have tell-tale signs of ever being installed but there are some cosmetic blemishes that suggest that it is not new or may have been refurbished (paint flaking, some touch up work, etc). We feel that it is most likely a refurbished unit but in any case, it is in excellent condition and guaranteed non-DOA.
We were believe this is a Volvo Penta SX-A 1.6 Gear Ratio Stern-drive Outdrive based on the appearance of the unit, but the part number on the anode corresponds to an SX-M. Please verify compatibility before purchasing. This item is guaranteed non-DOA, however, because we don’t know the history, we are not able to determine if it is re-manufactured or has ever actually been installed. The unit does have some minor blemishes, some spots that appear to be refurbished and painted, some scratches from storage and transportation. All indications say that this is either a new unit that was repaired or a reconditioned unit but without full packaging and history of the unit,we are listing it as USED and as such it does not carry any manufacturer’s or seller’s warranty beyond a non-DOA guarantee.
