Additional Notes: This item has been designated as an MME REFURB. Items that receive this designation have not only gone through our rigorous testing procedure, but have had common failure points addressed. Because of our vast experience with used marine electronics, we are able to identify potential failures and we have developed fixes for these failure points to ensure that our customers are getting the best used unit out there.
Within our extensive MME REFURB process, we have completely disassembled the radar pedestal for professional sand blasting followed by powder coating with marine grade paint that is far superior to what originally came on the unit. This unit is immaculate inside and out! The unit is then meticulously reassembled with clean rubber seals and new bearing grease. There are some blemishes to the decals on the antenna array as shown in the photos. This radars’ antenna array has been disassembled to tighten up the internal core, then reassembled with sealed end caps. You won’t have to worry about water intrusion or these caps flying off the array when its spinning. The array is then fully detailed by our technicians with a multi-step compound process to remove any unsightly yellowing of the plastics, commonly found with these radars. PLEASE NOTE: The “Raymarine” decal has been compromised from when the radar was removed from the vessel, as seen in the photos. This is decal merely cosmetic and could be easily removed or replaced if desired. This has been taken into consideration and is reflected in the price.
This radar system also comes with a brand new radar cable as most used cables have a common failure point found where the cable connects to the radar in that the strain relief deteriorates exposing the cable to moisture which can then cause premature failure of the radar/cable or possibly an electrical short. All included hardware has been run through a wire wheel and are rust, corrosion and adhesive free to allow for quick and easy installation.
To cap off our MME REFURB process, we updated the software to the latest provided by Raymarine. This radar is then put through rigorous testing for several hours to ensure that the unit is in great overall working condition.
This is the Enhanced version of the HD Digital Radar. With this revision, Raymarine implemented a hardware redesign to overcome start-up difficulties and also added 48rpm and Bird Mode features when connected to a Widescreen or newer model display. These features are not accessible on a E-Series Classic display.
