Additional Notes: These reels were removed from a boat being refit with a new teaser system. Cosmetically, they’re in excellent condition, LCD’s are clear and crisp, all buttons and functions work, and the reels are fluid with no funny sounds. While the reels are fully operational, they will need to have drags serviced at some point – Technotren is who we would recommend.
We maxxed the drags out on these reels and pulled 45 lbs from one reel and 80 lbs from the other, they are around 100 out of the box. We have set the price on these to reflect the fact that this service will need to be performed at some point. They come as shown, and each includes a power cable.
These are Dredge/Teaser reels, they are not intended to be mounted to rods, nor would they be good for deep dropping. They don’t have reel seats for rods, they don’t have a backup handle, and there is no adjustable knob for speed. They are purpose built for pulling teasers and are the industry standard on high end sportfish boats. They are 24 volts, and will not run on 12 volts. Most of the boats these are found on run 24 volt systems so this shouldn’t be an issue, but please be sure your boat is 24 volts before purchase.
