We recently acquired the inventory of a large marine parts distributor that went out of business. We have listed this as a remanufactured/refurbished unit because there are “R” stamps on it. It has not been installed in its current state. It may have a cosmetic blemish or two from warehouse storage and moving – the most conspicuous of these is there is a small indent on one of the valve covers near the oil fill – it should be noted that this in no way affects the fill’s ability to seal and is purely cosmetic. Paperwork is included with this showing the original purchase price. We would guess that this was purchased by a customer of the distributor and returned when it was un-crated and it was found that the valve cover had this slight damage.
This is a great opportunity to save $$ on the cost of other remans. We were able to determine that this is a pre-vortec 5.7L GM engine commonly used on a variety of applications. Please verify compatibility before purchasing. This item is guaranteed non-DOA, however, because we are a marine electronics company and not a marine engine dealer, there is no warranty on this engine. This did come from a major marine distributor so it is not a “backyard rebuild”. Includes Oil Dipstick as shown in the last photo.
