This Garmin GPSMap 640 Auto/Marine Chart Plotter has been thoroughly tested and is fully functional. We’ve verified that both the chart card reader and internal GPS work seamlessly in both auto and marine modes. The unit originally came with a battery pack, but during our testing, we discovered that the battery is no longer holding a charge and cannot be recharged. As a result, the unit operates perfectly when connected to DC power, but the battery will need to be replaced for full portability.
