Additional Notes: This system was removed from a vessel and is not currently functioning. We are unsure of the issue as we were not told it wasn’t functional. The unit will power on from either JCU or from the override switch in the Bulkhead Box, and when powered on, it goes through a startup sequence of rotating on its azimuth motor and tilting down and up with its elevation motor before pointing straight ahead at the horizon (I believe this is considered “home position”).
After that…nothing – no response to joystick commands, no video, the bulkhead box will power down but the camera doesn’t move when powering down, only when you power up. We did remove the thermal head to inspect the inside for any possible water intrusion, and the inside is very clean. It has been re-assembled but the silicone plugs over the hex cap bolts were removed.
We are including the Voyager II Camera, 2 Joysticks, Bulkhead Box, Joystick to Bulkhead Box Cable (5′), and Camera to Bulkhead Box Cable (35′) Other than some chafing on the very outer insulation of the camera to bulkhead box cable, cables are in good shape. Our price is indicative of the condition.
