Additional Notes: This 4kW Enhanced HD Digital Open Array Radar System has been designated as an MME REFURB! Items that receive this designation have not only gone through our rigorous testing procedure but also addressed common failure points. Due to our extensive experience with used marine electronics, we can identify potential failures and have developed fixes for these failure points to ensure that our customers receive the best-used unit available.
Within our extensive MME REFURB process, we have completely disassembled the radar pedestal for professional sandblasting, followed by powder coating with marine-grade paint far superior to the original. This unit is immaculate, both inside and out. We then meticulously reassembled with clean rubber seals and new bearing grease.
To cap off our MME REFURB process, we have installed a NEW Modulator Board directly from Raymarine and updated the software to the latest version!
This radar’s antenna array was detailed during our REFURB process! The plastics are CLEAN and in outstanding shape! The end caps have been resealed, so you won’t have to worry about water intrusion or these caps flying off when it’s spinning.
The switch boot cover is not compromised and functions properly!
This radar and the VCM 100 were rigorously tested for several hours to ensure it was in great overall working order and everything performed optimally! There are strong echo returns at all ranges, with every self-test successfully passing!
A NEW 15m radar cable is included! Most used cables have a common failure point found where it connects to the radar port, and the strain relief deteriorates, exposing the wires to moisture, which can then cause premature failure of the radar/cable or possibly an electrical short.
This radar system comes with a 48″ (4 ft.) antenna array. If this array is too small, we may have a 6 ft. antenna array available. The included radar cable is 15m in length. If you need a different length radar cable, we may have a 10m or 5m available. Please reach out to us directly to inquire about a smaller antenna array or a different-length radar cable.
This is the Enhanced version of the HD Digital Radar. With this revision, Raymarine implemented a hardware redesign to overcome start-up difficulties and also added 48RPM and Bird Mode features when connected to a Widescreen or newer model display. These features are not accessible on an E-Series Classic display.
All included hardware has been run through a wire wheel and is clean for quick and easy installation.
