This is a CHIRP High Band transducer for use with compatible Garmin8-pin CHIRP modules and displays, although the connector can be cut off for use on other brands that use a “bare wire” connection.
This is a bronze 20 degree tilted element transducer, intended for installation on boats with between 16 and 24 degree deadrise in the mounting location. Includes transducer and install kit.
Install Kit includes:
- 2 rubber gaskets
- 1 bronze nut
- 1 Garmin 8-pin threaded collar
- 1 B175HW-20 Transducer
This is a 0 hour transducer! We believe that it was installed, and then removed before the boat ever went in the water. The face of the transducer still has the yellow sticker on it and it doesn’t appear to have been in water. We are still selling this as used just to be on the safe side.
When they removed it from the boat, they cut into the threads a little bit which is visible in picture number 7. This doesn’t effect anything, and the nut still threads onto the transducer housing perfectly.
We tested this here at our shop using an Airmar TDT-1000 which is the standard test equipment for Transducers. The test results are shown in the photos as well.
