Garmin VHF 200 Used Marine Radio Fist Mic Microphone New cable ( GRAY )
This is a used Garmin VHF 200 hand set that has been tested with a VHF transceiver to verify proper functionality of the handset.
This unit is in great cosmetic condition and has a new replacement cable that we installed in house here at Max Marine to ensure that it is done right. All the buttons are functional and speaker is working.
We have replaced the original mic cord on this unit with one of our replacement cables produced in house here at Max Marine.
The reason why we replaced the cable : Chances are that you have seen the very common degradation of the synthetic rubber cable that comes from the factory on these hand sets. Well, we have come up with a solution for that issue and here is what we have done,
We have designed this replacement cable to provide a way for those with the VHF 200 to continue using their radios. The main differences between our mic cord and the original are:
- Cable entry strain relief to microphone – We custom designed and 3D printed this part for exact fitment
- Connection to radio – Our connector is a “straight” connector, whereas the original was a right angle connector
