We recently acquired a lot of parts from a marine distributor who went out of business. Each buy-it-now purchases one length of 50’+. This was taken off of a spool and has never been installed (you may not believe this when you see it, but we promise it was), but the wire was very dirty from being stored in a dusty warehouse next to the railroad tracks that always had the overhead doors open. We gave it a good wipe down with simple green to clean a good bit of the dust, oil, and dirt off, however, if you really want it clean, you may need to use alcohol and more degreaser to get it in tip top shape.
This is quality marine wire, all 4 conductors are 6awg (some manufacturers make the green wire a higher gauge) and all four conductors are tinned. This would be a perfect way to save a lot of money on a shorepower cord if you purchase the ends, or can be used in the boat as it is marine wire.
