This is a complete in every sense of the word NEW IN BOX SPX-5 Tiller Plus Pilot with P70R Controller and STNG Starter kit for tiller driven sailboats under 13,200 lbs. This new pilot carries a 2 year warranty. This kit contains the following parts:
-SPX-5 Course Computer
-Raymarine Tiller Drive Unit w/Mounting Hardware
-P70R Controller w/Suncover, Mounting Instructions – Also includes a bezel and suncover kit to match newer Raymarine MFD’s – you can use whichever one you like better
-Seatalk NG SPX Starter Kit – 5 Way Joiner + 2x Terminators + STNG Power Cable + STNG SPX Spur Cable + STNG Spur Cable to P70R
-Fluxgate Compass
-All Other Necessary Connecting Cables
-All manuals
We have these bundled with the P70R controller. The P70R can do everything the P70 can do except Wind Vane mode (and even that is up for debate, but for purposes of this listing, assume it cannot). Most small boat installations will not be utilizing this functionality, but we want to make sure buyers are aware of what they are purchasing up front.
The pilot ships free in the US.
Please note: This is only for tiller driven small and medium sailing vessels under 16,500 lbs. displacement. Will not work for powerboats or larger vessels of heavier displacement.
