Furuno units use the opposite polarity pin configuration, meaning if the cable is used on a Furuno unit, black would be +, and white would be –
We believe this is 16 gauge wire (might be 18 gauge) – in any case, we recommend against using this for anything over, say, 7.5-10 amps depending on whether you use the full length.
