This Furuno RDP-149 NavNet VX2 has been fully tested in-house and is 100% operational. The pictures taken are of the actual unit, they are not stock photos.

***This is the LED version of the RDP-149. Furuno produced a limited run of the LED-backlit models toward the end of production of this display. The LED backlight and circuitry in this version are a big improvement from the CCFL/fluorescent backlight and circuitry of the standard RDP-149, which is prone to failure and/or inconsistent brightness over time. The LED backlight provides brighter, more consistent lighting for the screen.***

This display shows a couple of minor cosmetic signs of prior usage (please see photos)- the front bezel has a bit of fading, and there are two small scuffs in the anti-reflective coating on the glass viewing window.

PLEASE NOTE: Our RDP-149 units do not include optional boards such as ARP11, NTSC/PAL, or RGB video output. These boards are always removed prior to sale and must be purchased separately. Customers are responsible for verifying which option boards are installed in their existing unit at the time of purchase. However, we are happy to assist in identifying the installed options to ensure a smooth transition.

Our testing uses several peripherals (GPS antenna, radar, sounder, etc.) which are NOT included in this listing- this listing is for the RDP-149 ONLY.

***This is a C-MAP unit, intended to work with C-MAP chart cards. IT WILL NOT WORK WITH NAVIONICS CHART CARDS, and because of this being the LED version, it cannot be converted to Navionics.***

-The unit was originally flush mounted, so a bracket will not be included in this sale- we have brackets and knobs available for purchase separately.-

Our experience has given us the ability to evaluate and rebuild these displays in such a way as to prevent both common and rare failures these units experience. The most common failures of the NavNet series are LCD screen failure, backlight failure, trackball failure, and separation of the glass viewing window from the front bezel.

Every single NavNet we sell, regardless of whether it’s classified as MME Refurbished or not, has undergone extensive scrutiny and service. The bezel has been inspected for warping, the backlight PCB reconditioned with beefier components, the case seal cleaned and re-greased, the trackball and its housing cleaned and serviced, and other procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and longevity of our units in the field.

We categorize this display as MME REFURBISHED- We installed a NEW LCD AND TRACKBALL AND ASSEMBLY, secured the glass viewing window to the front bezel, and cleaned and re-greased the case gasket. We’ve also updated the software to the latest version for optimal performance.
