This echomap 70s shows excellent cosmetically, but has a memory issue. It will not store user data (waypoints etc) nor will it store the touchscreen calibration, so each time the unit is powered on, in order to get the touchscreen to work, you need to press the power button 5 times rapidly when the “loading maps” appears, perform a touchscreen calibration, and the unit will work until you turn it off, at which point you will need to perform the same procedure upon powering it on. It also does not store waypoints or any user data. The touchscreen/front panel is a new part. This would make a good parts unit to fix a functional unit with a bad screen, and while the issue(s) may be repairable, we are not up to speed on component level repair on the echomap series. Sold as is, as described, no returns.
